It's located near the cozy village of Bovec in Jul Soca (also called Isonzo) is a very long river and you can flows all the way from the Alps passing by the town of Bovec, among a few other villages. On all the boards is the map, which we've labelled with more details. In places where it is slow enough (like near the town of Most Na Soci) is great for boating and SUPing. One of my best mountainous trails ever.
Endemic to the Adriatic watershed, the species is only found in a few rivers that flow into the Adriatic Sea, and Soca is one of its most important habitats.Due to its incredible emerald water, the river was nicknamed The Emerald Beauty and is one of the rare rivers in the world that retain such an amazing colour. !The road is in good condition, it is quite easy to drive once you have finished all the sharp bends. Another great spot for photographing the river is the Napoleon Bridge near the town of Kobarid.

A short walk downhill takes you to this enchanting cove where the water flows delicately on a rock wall covered with plants. If you know the famous Verzasca River in Switzerland, Soca is similar. It’s 750 meters long, 15 meters deep and at its narrowest section only two meters wide. Why not enjoy some canyoning?

And the best part is to turn around to admire where you drive from!And then you arrive to an open flat area where you will find the town of Bovec.As we drove towards the Brda region, I discover another stunning spot on the river: the small town of Kanal with colorful house, historical ruins and multiple shades of green.Seeing those colors in Mountain lakes and river is quite frequent.
