album (following this one are “W.A.S.P.”, “The Crimson Idol” and “UnHoly Terror”), and is slightly different than their first two releases. "Inside The Electric Circus" was WASP's third album in as many years, and Lawless' inspiration did not seem to have flagged at all. Average rating: Music. While some of these tracks work "Jimi Was a Rock Star" is a favorite, I have been largely unimpressed with this album. It can be either a comeback to shape after disappointing second album or a refreshing experiment after two similar ones. “Inside the Electric Circus” has a different sound compared to “The Last Command”, with sharp and quick riffs, and sound texture (I won’t go into detail on that). Electric Circus does suffer from that which ails many contemporary hip-hop albums -- too many guests (including a strange appearance by Laetitia Sadier ) and a generally lengthy program drag this one down a tad. New Wave, the other track sandwhiching the album's phenomenal key single, Come Close (ft. Mary J Blige), is also worthwhile.
